First Day of School 2017-2018

Here's to a great school year!!

Michael had this grand plan of growing out his hair and not cutting it until a week into school so that he can confuse the teachers!  Haha!  Here is the after the haircut look:

Maui! May 2017

 Robert did such a great job at work they gave us a free trip to Maui, Hawaii!  On the plane...

Our first view of the resort.  We stayed at the Grand Wailea and it was FABULOUS!!

Of course you can't go to Hawaii without going to a luau Bridgestone set up a great meal and show for all the employees.

One of the days we were there we rented a convertible and drove the road to Hana.  If we ever go back I would love to do this all over again.  There was so much to look at and do.

 

We explored beaches

Went swimming in the ocean

Admired all the banana trees!

 We went hiking and exploring.

We explored a lava cave 

 There were so many waterfalls!!

  We saw a giant Rainbow Eucalyptus tree in person it was so beautiful!  (I would love to have one in my backyard in Arizona!)

The next day we went on a snorkeling excursion. 

 

 We saw turtles!!

 The final night we got dressed up and went to the Bridgestone awards dinner. 

Robert received an award...for being so awesome at his job!   

 It was sad to leave such a beautiful place but we had to go back home.

And these beauties were waiting for us when we got there!

Thanks again to Grandma Biggs! Without her we wouldn't have been able to go on this fabulous trip!!

Birthday Cruise January 2017

 In January 2017 we went on a cruise with Angela Mayfield and her family, plus Brandy's parents (Grandma and Grandpa Biggs).  It was a blast!!

 The crazy kids went swimming in the freezing water.

 
They played minerature golf!

The adults (and Michael) went to a rock concert one night.  He seemed to really enjoy it.  (he was smiling on the inside, I'm sure!)  The younger kids went to the kids club on the ship.  They had a fun time there too.

After the concert there was a guess that song game and nearly the whole ship was involved it turned into a big sing along to popular songs.  It was so much fun!!

 First stop Catalina Island!

The only thing I (Brandy) wanted to do was to rent a golf cart and explore the island.  I knew it wasn't the most exciting thing to do but I knew the kids would love it.  AND THEY DID!!

We played on the beach. 

They found lots of "treasures" and threw a lot of rocks into the ocean.

Grandpa Biggs bought tickets for everyone to go on a submarine excursion.  After playing on the beach for awhile it was time to get on the submarine! The kids were all so excited, including the adult sized kids!

Unfortunately the kids were all sick this day so we weren't able to take them with us off the ship.  We watched Angela's kids while they went ashore and then they watched our kids while we went ashore.

 Happy birthday to Brandy!!

It looked so pretty!  It's unfortunate that it was the worst gluten free cake I have ever had in my entire life!!

Back in California we went to the beach one night.  So cold but so much fun!
