Maui! May 2017

 Robert did such a great job at work they gave us a free trip to Maui, Hawaii!  On the plane...

Our first view of the resort.  We stayed at the Grand Wailea and it was FABULOUS!!

Of course you can't go to Hawaii without going to a luau Bridgestone set up a great meal and show for all the employees.

One of the days we were there we rented a convertible and drove the road to Hana.  If we ever go back I would love to do this all over again.  There was so much to look at and do.

 

We explored beaches

Went swimming in the ocean

Admired all the banana trees!

 We went hiking and exploring.

We explored a lava cave 

 There were so many waterfalls!!

  We saw a giant Rainbow Eucalyptus tree in person it was so beautiful!  (I would love to have one in my backyard in Arizona!)

The next day we went on a snorkeling excursion. 

 

 We saw turtles!!

 The final night we got dressed up and went to the Bridgestone awards dinner. 

Robert received an award...for being so awesome at his job!   

 It was sad to leave such a beautiful place but we had to go back home.

And these beauties were waiting for us when we got there!

Thanks again to Grandma Biggs! Without her we wouldn't have been able to go on this fabulous trip!!

Our Indy 500 Trip! Part 1 of 4

Robert won a trip through Firestone for a trip for two to the Indy 500!  

We had such a wonderful time!  Thanks again to Grandma Biggs who flew into take care of our munchkins while we were gone!

 Here we go, on our way to Atlanta, Georgia, and on to Indianapolis, Indiana.

Indy Trip Part 2 of 4

After the race track we had all afternoon to explore Indianapolis.  Not far from our hotel was the Indiana State Museum.  The museum had a Star Wars Exhibit so we decided to check it out.  We are glad we did, it was pretty cool.

The night before the race we had a fancy Banquet Dinner to attend.

Before the party the hotel delivered a "car" with checkered "flags" to our room. 

At the party they served us a fancy dinner.

We watched some Firestone commercials and interesting things about racing.

Finally, the morning of the big race!

There were many buses going from the Marriott to the Racetrack all full of Firestone affiliated people.  We were on bus #8. 

Fall Break Staycation!

For fall break we decided to save a bit of money and have a fun staycation.  We had a good time hanging out together, playing, cleaning, shopping.  All that stuff.
Some highlights:

Sunday: Conference and Robert's surprise party

Monday: We just hung out as a family today.

Tuesday:  We went to the movies.  I think we saw the Lorax.  Thank heavens for dollar day at the movies and $1 hotdogs every day!  We all really love eating dinner at the movies! 

Wednesday: We went to Sea Life Aquarium

Thursday: We went to another PARTY!  Emily and Phillip (finally) got married!

Friday:  Robert had to go back to work this day so the kids and I chilled at home and just had a relaxed day.

Saturday: Another family gathering: Phillip was baptized.  It was a wonderful experience for Michael especially.  He has been nervous about being baptized when he turns 8 this upcoming year and he realized there is nothing to be scared of.

Sunday:  Went to Aunt Krista's and Uncle David's for a birthday celebration for (my grandpa) Grandpa Biggs.  It is always fun to spend time with family!

And here is Lilly in the cutest movie EVER!  (She is such a character and she thinks she is hilarious!)
