Camping...Cold...NO SNOW!

We planned a camping trip in hopes of camping in the snow.  We got there and there was no snow!  But it was really cold!  (no Nikki, not like Siberia cold...like Arizona cold!  At night it was around 15-20 degrees)  We had a good time though and thankfully we had a heater!

Ok, we did see a bit of snow...see the white spots...the kids were THRILLED!

We saw a flock of wild turkeys!

Chelsea was really cold at night...I gave in and let her sleep at my feet on my bed...before the trip was over she was inside my sleeping bag snuggling my legs.  **She is an Arizona dog...kind of wimpy!

We cut down a Christmas tree for Robert's work.  (FYI: we got a permit)

They always look much smaller before you cut them down!  Then suddenly you are wondering why you picked such a huge tree, how are you going to get it on the roof AND tie it down too!!

*I thought we got pictures of all the shenanigans of getting it on the roof...but I can't find them.  :(

We eventually figured it all out while the kids played. 

 The girls collected pine cones.
