Office quilt done! ...finally!

I started this quilt several months ago and I finished most of it, but then it sat waiting for binding for several more months and I finally finished it last week. I don't like how I quilted this one but it is what it is now. (Usually I like my meandering stitch close together and small, this one I rushed through and it ended up big and loopy looking.)

I made it to go in our office, it has matching pillows.

It has very happy colors.

We Went To The Arctic!

On Saturday we took a trip to the Science Center and enjoyed a IMAX 3D movie: To the Arctic!

This was the first 3D movie the kids have seen.  They loved it!  They were all amazed when it looked like things were going to hit them, or like it was snowing around them. 

We look so cool!

It was super easy and one of my favorite to sew! 

April 1st!

On April First 2013 I made cupcakes for dinner!  The kids were so excited!!

I wish I had a camera in hand when James licked the frosting...

...and when I yelled APRIL FOOLS!

These are meatloaf "cupcakes" with mashed potato "frosting" and carrot "sprinkles". 

It was awesome!  And yes, I did pipe on the "frosting" to make sure they looked authentic. 

Spring Break!

This week was Spring Break! Overall we had a great week.

 Monday and Tuesday: the kids and I hung out, played, cleaned and learned about the solar system.

A funny movie

Katelyn's Preschool!

Katelyn started preschool!  She is a bit delayed in speech so we set her up to go to preschool so she can also work with a speech therapist. She has been so excited about going to school like her brothers!  She loves it! 

It took a couple weeks but we finally got a bus set up for her.  They pick her up and drop her off right at our door and they won't let her get off the bus without us being there.  (So she will never be there alone)

She doesn't look happy in the picture but she was smiling from ear to ear when she got off! 

Her class only has 12 children in it, and only 3 girls!  She has 3 teachers so the student to teacher ratio is really low.  Every day she comes home and has so many fun things to tell us!
