Happy Birthday Lilly!

I can't believe this but my baby, Lilly, is THREE!!  That's right folks, 3 years old!

Here are few things about her:

She loves to snuggle!  Many mornings she crawls in our bed to warm up cold toes and snuggle before the day begins. During the day at least once she comes over to me requesting "Mommy Snuggle Time" and I LOVE it!

She still sucks her thumb or rather thumbs.  She isn't picky and will suck the most convenient one.  She also tickles her nose while she sucks...and sometimes she likes to suck her thumb with her finger up her nose.  Silly girl!!

She likes to color.

She loves to dress up with her big sister.  There can never be too many princess dresses in her opinion.

She loves using essential oils.  She will find one and put it on herself without asking...this has gotten her into uncomfortable situations when she finds a "hot" oil and rubs it all over.  Oregano and On Guard are not her favorites!  (They are "hot" oils!)

She laughs at inappropriate times like when people get hurt and when someone is crying or sad...we are working on it.

She doesn't like being alone.  During the day she will ask: Where is Michael?  Where is James? Where is Katie?

She DOES NOT like to be left home.  If someone is going somewhere she is convinced she's going too!

She loves snuggling, taking care of, singing to, rocking and playing with her baby dolls!

On to the birthday celebrations!

On her birthday she was sick. She cried because she couldn't go to nursery.  We tried to make the best of it by snuggling, sleeping and watching movies that she picked out...she would watch 15 minutes of one, 2 minutes of the next, 5 minutes of another.  Usually I don't let them do that but she was sick and it was her birthday so she got a free pass.

For her birthday she requested cupcakes not a cake. So Katie and I made her cupcakes with white and pink frosting.  (the pink frosting was colored with raspberries if you were wondering) We have been watching a lot of Cake Boss on tv lately so I broke out my decorating supplies and let the kids decorate their own cupcakes.  They all loved it.

When Lilly's was done we sang Happy Birthday to her and let her blow out the candles.

On to the presents:

Michael made her a bow...as in a bow without arrows.

Katie was very generous and knew how much Lilly liked her princess wand so she wrapped it up and gave it to her.

Her gift from Mom and Dad.  When Katie realized what it was she was very excited and couldn't wait for Lilly to get it open!

Purple sparkly princess shoes!  The only thing she asked for!

Daddy helped her put them on!

Yes, she wore her tinkerbell dress all day and now she has a magic wand and purple sparkly princess shoes to go with it.  She is definitely all GIRL!

At 6:30 she requested to go to bed and that was the end of her birthday celebrations.

We love you so much Lilly!  Our lives are so much better with you in it!  We love you!!

I love all the updates and seeing your family grow up so quickly. I can't believe it's been three years already. Thanks for the comments. I still haven't bought a camera, but some day we will.

Keep in touch! Even if it's through comments on blogs :D
