The Coolest Thing EVER!

Okay so maybe this is not the coolest thing ever but it is close. For awhile we have been trying to figure out a solution to our pantry dilemma: too many cans and not enough horizontal space so we have to stack them 2 and 3 high and then they fall over all the time. So finally I came across **FREE** rolling can storage plans so I can build my own. As they are made out of cardboard they are pretty cheap if not free to build. So for now while I wait on Robert to build me something more permanent we will use these! You can find the plans to build them here.
FYI: if you do build them do add about 1/8 to 1/4 inch to the width of the boxes, the cans were a bit too tight to roll smoothly. If mine look bigger than they should it's because I altered mine slightly to make them 15" deep and 15" to fill up the entire shelf.

Our Family Newsletter

Our family newsletter is going through a transformation! First of all we will be posting it on our blog instead of emailing them out to everyone. (If you still want it in an email let us know and we can do that for you.) Second I got a bit burnt out doing a family newsletter and scrapbooking the same thing so now the two will be combined. Bridgestone Ride and Learn

Robert finally had a dream come true...He got paid drive a car around a race track!! In March he spent one day at Firebird Raceway to learn about tires and then test drive BMW's with different tires on them. He learned that with the right tire you can race around a wet track without loosing control of the vehicle.

Emptying the Swimming Pool

This week we emptied and refilled the swimming pool. (It's just part of pool maintenance that needs to be done about every three years or so.) This is the second time we have had to do it. If you are wondering, it takes a long time to empty-about 6 hours-and a long, long, long time to fill it back up with garden hoses--about 18 hours! We are glad it is done, now we just can't wait to go swimming! Here are the silly pictures of us playing in the pool without the water!

Trip to Utah

We have had such a great week! We went to Utah to spend some time with family and friends. On the way there we stopped to play in Kingman, Arizona for awhile and then went on to Alamo, Nevada to spend the night before going on to Utah the next day. While in Utah we rode Trax up to Temple Square, went sledding in the canyons and helped Robert's family pack up their house to move down to Arizona. We had a great time!

Kingman, Arizona Photos--We usually stop here to see my family and let the boys run around a bit. This time we stopped at a pretty cool park that has an old train that you can climb on and go inside.







Riding Trax to Temple Square in Utah--This seems to be our Utah tradition. The kids love this so much it's hard not to do it when we go up. However this time was the most stressful time! Three kids, 2 bags a stroller and only two adults to handle it all. Plus we had a few extra trains we had to get on and off because we didn't pay attention to what train we were getting on and got on the wrong one! You'd think with all the times I rode it to commute from Sandy to the U that I would have figured out that it is necessary to check the train you are getting on! Oh well, the boys still had a good time and that's what's important.








Sledding In Provo Canyon--We had such a good time! We found a small hill, or more of a dip that the kids could pull the sled up in about 30 seconds and then slide down for about 3 seconds--They loved it! It was around 70 degrees so we didn't have to worry about being cold but it wasn't exactly what we had in mind for our Utah trip--We were hoping for a snowy cold trip to have a change from the always warm Arizona weather. :)








Alamo, Nevada--At Grandma and Grandpa Biggs' house--We stopped here on the way to Utah and on the way home. We always have a good time here. Animals, bikes, lots of space, lots of dirt, a huge pile of gravel to climb on and a wheel barrow...definitely a little boy's heaven! We were excited to see the newest addition to the farm--a new baby horse. She's pretty cute!

Create

When I heard the talk given by President Dieter F. Uchtdorf at the 2008 General Relief Society Meeting I thought, "Yes, that's how I feel!" I have such a strong desire to create. Aparently I am not the only one who loved the talk because the church created a quick movie based on it. I found it so touching I wanted to share it, so check it out, I think you'll love it too.

Katelyn is so cute!

Katelyn is growing so quickly! I can't believe she is almost three months old! Wow time flies. She is finally past the crying all the time phase and now she only cries part of the time. When she is not crying she is smiling at everyone and everything. It is so great to see her so happy! She is especially happy right after she wakes up. She is very alert and loves watching her brothers entertain her. She is almost rolling over and before you know it she will be running around just as busy as James and Michael.
